Hofman explains that a key feature of the TrafficJet is its latest UV LED technology. “It’s so repeatable,” he comments. In addition to offering high repeatability due to the UV system, this also allows faster curing and Hofman says: “When we print, we can immediately laminate.”
This new printer technology allows higher levels of productivity and can print up to 10m2/hour. Meanwhile, warranties of 10, 12 or 15 years can be offered on signs printed with the unit, depending on the type of materials used and with no geographic exceptions.
The UV LED system offers another key benefit in that there are no releases of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) during operation and it does not use water, making the TrafficJet Xpress a more sustainable printer than earlier generation units. This new printer technology is being offered in partnership between Avery Dennison and Mimaki.
In addition, the firm also offers new PrintFactory Avery Dennison TrafficJet Edition workflow software that allows sign shops to optimise the click-to-ship process.
