Commsignia unifies V2N & V2X to combine benefits of both

Imagine an ambulance which needs priority and cars just slowly pull over. Some vehicles can be warned over V2X, others have cellular connection. Commsignia’s Hybrid Suite use V2N cloud and V2X direct applications to combine the benefits of both to provide safety information over mobile networks and real-time warnings through V2X in critical traffic situations. Meanwhile, cities and road managers can monitor the movement of dispatched vehicles, traffic signal status and other critical sensor data on its route from the traffic management center.

Commsignia’s product portfolio, being highlighted here in Dubai, ranges from roadside and aftermarket V2X equipment, through cloud- and edge-based solutions to the embedded software stack that car manufacturers buy from the company to integrate into their vehicles.

“This unparalleled portfolio allows us to build one complete end-to-end solution and hide the technological complexities from  customers, so they can enjoy the benefits of connectivity and focus on the valuable insights,” says Laszlo Virag, CTO of Commsignia.

Providing preemption to first responders is just one example of the almost infinite number of use cases enabled by the Hybrid Suite. Cities can grant priority to buses, speed up snow removal and freight transit, and improve vulnerable road user safety. It’s all available on a single deployment.

“We’ve integrated all connectivity options and data sources into the Hybrid Suite,” Virag says. “Our holistic approach ensures that our customers can confidently build connected infrastructure with the technology of their choice and have a feasible roadmap for long-term thinking. At the same time the automotive world can immediately access this road safety data for a better driver experience and safety.”
