Seeing is believing and with the new Radar Sensor Fusion software from Germany-based Smartmicro, nothing escapes the traffic controllers eye. The Fusion update for the company’s road junction data solution Com Hub allows interference-free visualisation of all vehicles, pedestrian and cycling movements. Traffic controllers can see patterns at junctions in real time and the range of view is up to 200 metres, says Daniel Reitenauer, business development officer with Smartmicro.
The software operates on the Smartmicro’s latest edge computing device COM HUB to significantly enhance safety in urban areas. By performing data fusion between Smartmicro sensors, a much higher detection and classification accuracy can be achieved. The communication among the sensors enables seamless tracking of all traffic participants - from a small child up to a large truck - throughout the entire intersection and provides a rich set of data for V2X communication.
Using this latest combination from Smartmicro, traffic controllers can synchronise traffic lights to suit anticipated vehicles patterns at any specific time. So, get smart and visit Smartrmicro at their stand at the Congress
