Oriux’s line of portable and permanent data collectors and WIM plug-in modules has allowed transportation agencies to accurately collect vehicle data for traffic studies and to aid them in the enforcement of weight limits. Vehicle data that can be collected by the company’s WIM solutions include gross vehicle weight, classification, arrival time, speed, volumetric flow, individual axle weights and spacings, overload indications, equivalent standard axle loadings (ESALs), gap and headway, all in either binned or per vehicle records.
The use of Oriux’s simply installed plug-in modules allows flexible installation of multilane configurations to suit specific site demands and provides ease of expansion when first ordered, or at a later date. Any existing ADR Sabre, ADR-2000, or ADR- 3000 can be upgraded in the field for WIM operations. The upgrade is simple and cost-effective.
