IBBTA to hold summit on mobility solutions in Philadelphia
The International Bridge, Tunnel and Turnpike Association (IBBTA) is to hold a summit in Philadelphia this weekend.
The Summit on Finance and Policy, hosted by the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission, will focus on mobility strategies and on funding for improvements to US roadways, bridges and tunnels.
Patrick Jones, IBTTA executive director, will moderate a luncheon discussion about New York City’s toll-cordon congestion pricing plan.

The Summit on Finance and Policy, hosted by the 774 Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission, will focus on mobility strategies and on funding for improvements to US roadways, bridges and tunnels.
Patrick Jones, 63 IBTTA executive director, will moderate a luncheon discussion about New York City’s toll-cordon congestion pricing plan.
Panellists will include Allison de Cerreño, senior vice president, business operations & transformation officer at MTA Bridges & Tunnels and Michael Replogle, deputy commissioner for policy at NYC Department of Transportation.
A panel comprising chief financial officers such as Deborah Sharpless from the Maryland Transportation Authority and Amy Potter from 5508 Transportation Corridor Agencies will discuss the challenges they face and the solutions they are using in Straight From the Top – CFOs respond to your questions.
A session called Can Tolling and Road Usage Charging Share the Road? will ask whether light vehicle road user charging systems should come into force and what would be the impact and interaction with existing toll operations, revenues and gas tax. The discussion will be moderated by Patricia Hendren, executive director for the I-95 Corridor Coalition.
State Officials and Tolling – Why Some Like it and Others Don’t, a session moderated by Bernie Arseneau director, highways & roads at 59 HDR, will look at what leads state officials to embrace and reject tolling as a funding mechanism for infrastructure.
The summit will take place from 18-21 May at the Loews Philadelphia Hotel.
