177 TagMaster has launched its new tamper-proof MarkTag MaX tpp, an ID-tag designed to suit a range of applications, including parking, restricted areas, access control but also for traffic control, such as city congestion, and tolling applications. The device, which is designed for a reading range up to 14m (46 feet) using the LR-6XL reader, is designed to stop working when removed from the inside of the windscreen.

Each 2.45GHz read-only ID-tag has a pre-programmed, eight-digit, unique factory-set identity code and a 32-bit checksum for automatic verification. In combination with a random reflection of the reader signal, TagMaster says this eliminates substitution errors even with several ID-tags identified simultaneously.
