50 ESRI CityEngine 2011, the latest version of Esri's software for creating high-quality 3D content, is now available. This latest release of CityEngine makes it easier to use geographic information system (GIS) data to create geographically accurate models for urban design, historical reenactment models, or realistic models of actual cities. It now includes support for georeferenced data such as Esri's File Geodatabase (GDB) and KML, while the user interface has been greatly improved for ease of use with 'drag and drop' data import features.

TomTom delivers data in Esri format

TomTom has announced the availability of its MultiNet suite of map products in Esri’s file geodatabase format. Large TomTom datasets may now be consumed directly by Esri applications in a file geodatabase format that is configurable within the customer’s environment, saving time and effort for GIS professionals. Esri software powers Lithuania project

The government of Lithuania has used Esri’s software to create a website – which went live this week - covering all of its transport network rather than simply one urban area. “It’s a multimodal journey planner for the whole country,” explains Terry C.
