Tolling specialist Q-Free has signed multiple contracts with an unnamed customer in the US. The company says it will therefore reduce pollution caused by drivers searching for parking spaces. Tolling specialist 108 Q-Free has signed multiple contracts with an unnamed customer in the US. The company says it will therefore reduce pollution caused by drivers searching for parking spaces.

The 29 million NOK (£2.5m) contract includes the delivery of ultra-sonic single space sensors, intelligent signage, a suite of statistical reports and an application programming interface tool to show real-time parking availability.

Håkon Volldal, Q-Free’s president and CEO, says: “This contract is a substantial contribution to Q-Free’s parking business and ensures high double-digit growth in this segment in 2019.”

Q-Free picks up Norway border plate recognition deal

Tolling specialist Q-Free is to provide cameras, sensors and services for vehicle and number plate recognition at various points on Norway’s borders from 2019. The two-year agreement with the Directorate of Norwegian Customs will also serve the Norwegian Public Roads Administration and Norwegian Police. The seven-year year contract is approximately valued NOK30 million (£2.7 million). Q-Free to deliver Thailand toll solutions

Q-Free and an unnamed local partner have been chosen to deliver tolling solutions for a 22km toll road which runs from central Bangkok to Don Muang Airport in Thailand.
