Outsight nets $22m funding

Investment round for Lidar specialist was co-led by EIC and Defense Innovation Fund

Lidar specialist Outsight has received funding totalling $22 million in an investment round co-led by Energy Innovation Capital (EIC) and the Defense Innovation Fund managed by Bpifrance, alongside Groupe ADP and historical investors BNP Paribas, SPDG, Demeter, Safran and Faurecia.

Outsight deploys 3D software solutions in a number of sectors including Smart Cities and autonomous vehicles, both areas where software integration is of increasing importance.

Its Augmented Lidar Box has also been used for applications such as monitoring people and objects in airports and other settings.
