Dubai’s Roads & Transport Authority and the city’s police say they will use traffic solutions to secure the movement of participants and visitors for the Dubai World Expo 2020.
The announcement came following a meeting on a five-year plan aimed at improving road safety and public transport, where they also discussed improving traffic safety in school districts and raising awareness through programmes for the academic year 2019-2020.
Both parties agreed that the seizure of trucks and vehicles parked in the shoulder of roads, under bridges and intersections could prevent road users from colliding with trucks.
As part of the meeting, the participants considered introducing training on the Dubai Police app to document and generate traffic reports of minor traffic incidents.
