The system uses video technology and takes high-resolution images of passing vehicles from a position on the side of the roadway. Information is then passed onto Asfinag if a vehicle does not meet requirements.
All functions are combined into a single device which is designed to switch locations frequently. It can be deployed on motorways and expressways as well as their on- and off-ramps.
