4540 ABB has installed fast-charging stations on key roads in Bulgaria as part of a partnership with eMobility operating under the brand Eldrive. The project aims to increase public understanding of electric mobility and help navigate them to the nearest charging station or e-car rental station with plans to expand the network to all major roads and highways by the end of Q1 2018.
Called Terra 53 CJG, the fast-charger stations are said to offer compatibility with all-electric vehicles on the country’s market, using the Chademo, CCS and Type 2 AC standards as well as provide charging cycles between 15-60 minutes, depending on the car’s battery capacity.
The Terra 53 is designed with the intention of operating in weather conditions from - 35 degrees to + 55 Celsius and is intended for use at highway rest stops, petrol stations, car dealerships and busy urban areas, such as public parking lots.
These fast charger stations now cover the international routes from Sofia to the Greek border, with installations in key locations including Sofia, Varna, Veliko Turnovo, Blagoevgrad, Sandanski, Rakovski, Stara Zagora, Liubumetz and Bourgas.
