Asecap, the European Association of Operators of Toll Road Infrastructures, has appointed Konstantinos Koutsoukos as its president for the year 2025.
Koutsoukos, CEO of infrastructure company Egnatia Odos, has over 25 years of experience in toll road management in Greece and the US.
"I am committed to dedicating all my efforts and energy to face the new challenges ahead," he says, emphasising the need to invest in decarbonising road transport and to maintain resilient road infrastructure.
It is central theme of Asecap's latest Sustainability Report. "Road infrastructure plays a vital role in achieving the ambitious goal set by the European Union to be carbon neutral by 2050." he adds.

Malika Seddi, Asecap secretary general, says the organisation's vision "is to promote improvements and contribution of the toll road infrastructure company around Europe to reach net zero fatalities and net zero carbon through sustainable funding, financing, and charging solutions that the tolling industry is known for".
