The call for papers for the 23rd World Congress on Intelligent Transport Systems 2016 is officially open. With the Congress theme set to explore the theme of Enhancing Liveable Cities and Communities, the deadline for submission closes on 13 January 2016.
Sub themes of the congress are: Challenges and opportunities of big open data; Smart cities and new urban mobility; Vehicle and network safety; Cooperative and automated vehicles; Mobile applications; Future freight; Policy, standards and harmonisation.
Brian Negus, 858 ITS Australia president and 6456 ITS World Congress 2016 chair said “In collaboration with ITS Asia Pacific, 374 Ertico and 560 ITS America, ITS Australia is working to prepare an engaging program. In the tradition of ITS World Congresses there will be executive, plenary, scientific, technical and interactive sessions, a dynamic exhibition plus technical demonstrations and tours that showcase the applications of the latest ITS technology.
“This will be an opportunity for policy makers, practitioners, researchers and ITS providers to share information on big data analytics, smart cities, vehicle and network safety, cooperative and automated vehicles, future freight and many other innovations in ITS.”

There is only one week to the submission deadlines for submission of papers for the ITS European Congress in Glasgow and the ITS World Congress in Melbourne. Papers for both congresses must be submitted by 13 January to be sure of consideration.
Authors can submit their technical and scientific papers for either traditional presentations or interactive sessions in Glasgow. Authors intending to be considered for the commercial papers category can submit their paper for a commercial theatre session. ITS ex
The International Program Committee and ITS Australia is calling for volunteers to review submitted scientific, technical and commercial papers for the 23rd ITS World Congress 2016 in Melbourne.

Registration is now open for the five-day 23rd ITS World Congress, to be held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre in Australia from 10-14 October 2016.
More than 7,000 international delegates are expected to attend the Congress, hosted by ITS Australia, on behalf of ITS Asia Pacific, Ertico and ITS America, the Congress theme is ITS - Enhancing Liveable Cities and Communities.
The Congress will include Plenary and keynote speakers, special interest sessions and more than 300 exhibitors.
