The jury includes Karima Delli, chairwoman of the European Parliament’s Transport and Tourism Committee – who launched the award - and Violeta Bulc, European commissioner for transport. The public-private initiative was co-founded by 4055 Boston Consulting Group and Via ID and is supported by the European Parliament and 1690 European Commission as well as partners such as ADP, GRDF, 4966 Europcar Mobility Group and RATP.
The 10 winners, to be announced at prize ceremony in Brussels on 11 April 2019, will have the opportunity to visit several events in Europe next year, including the ITS European Congress in June 2019. Four Gold Award winners will also win entrepreneurial, business and legal mentoring to help grow their operations in Europe and beyond.
Five hundred start-ups participated in last year’s edition of the EUSP, with winners including 8571 MaaS Global’s Whim app.
The top 50 start-ups will be selected by the jury to progress on 25 February.
Ertico-ITS Europe is inviting mobility professionals to submit papers for next year’s ITS European Congress in the Netherlands.
The European Programme Committee wants papers for various sessions for the event in Brainport, which runs 3-6 June 2019.
Experts are also invited to share ideas and discuss mobility challenges that cities face and how they can be addressed through ITS solutions.

The seminar programme for Intertraffic 2016 is now online, including more than 80 theatre sessions, presentations, round tables, workshops and demonstrations. These include topics such as: Launch of Intelligent Public Space; the gateway to smart solutions and applications in public space; Digital Transport paving the way for new chapter in C-ITS; Successfully deploying automated speed enforcement programs; Multimodal Traffic Management - Bridge Management System as well as presentations by manufacturers and
