Q-Free subsidiary Intelight announced today it has named Michael Wieck (left) as its new CEO. Wieck most recently served as CTO of SWARCO Traffic Americas and brings a diverse ITS background that has spanned 20 years. “I’m extremely pleased to have Michael take on the role of leading the company. His competence and experience will improve our ability to capture an increasing proportion of a growing market,” said Intelight founder Craig Gardner (right) who will continue as president.

Q-Free, with its subsidiaries, Open Roads Consulting, TCS International and TDC Systems, will be exhibiting at the ITS America annual meeting, where it will demonstrate the integration of solutions from across its expanding portfolio.

Q-Free Open Roads has been awarded advanced transportation management systems (ATMS) contracts in the US at a value of US$2.5 million for equipment and services. Q-Free has signed a Share Purchase Agreement (SPA) for the acquisition of Open Roads Consulting for a cash consideration of approximately US$6.2 million.
