The approaches in Anaheim are often five lanes wide, or even wider in some cases, creating a detection challenge that many standard types of detectors simply cannot meet. As a result, in the past, the city has had to rely on multiple detector sensors to obtain the lane-by-lane detection and data collection for stop bar and advanced detection that is needed for their ITS programme.

With Autoscope Vision, Anaheim is now able to use a single sensor for each approach. Stop bar, advanced vehicle detection, surveillance and turning movement counts are now obtained through one camera, while pushing HD video to the traffic management centre. This flexibility increases the city’s ITS capabilities to optimise roadway efficiencies, while saving the city both time and money.

Autoscope Vision was designed from the beginning to provide a wide field-of-view and ultra-clear, unparalleled high-definition video clarity and ease-of-setup/use while delivering stop bar and advanced detection. The result is industry-leading detection for multiple objectives with a single sensor per approach.
