SVS-Vistek is showcasing a new, ultra-high resolution camera capable of taking photographs of up to 120 megapixels for ANPR purposes. The camera’s resolution is so great that it can be placed some distance from the scene – at the top of a high building, for example – and carry out ANPR surveillance over several streets simultaneously. Speed or red light enforcement are among the potential uses. The typical range of cameras used for ANPR purposes is five to 20 megapixels.

SVS-Vistek will be highlighting its SVCam-HR series at Intertraffic, which feature the new Python 25 MP CMOS sensor from On Semi and imaging rates of up to 80 fps via a CoaXPress interface.

The company claims the SVCam-HR series are amongst the most compact camera modules in their class on the world market and do not require any external cooling thanks to their intelligent heat

German company SVS-Vistek designs and manufactures a wide range of innovative CCD and CMOS cameras, from VGA up to 29 megapixel resolution, for many industrial machine vision and traffic applications.

Product enhancement and new launches feature on the SVS-Vistek stand. The company’s Tracer series of cameras now features better heat management a customer-requested improvements to casings’ screw fixings. But alongside improvements sits something wholly new – the SVCam-evo 12040. This is a CMOS-based camera, available in 12MP versions, which offers capabilities – high blooming suppression, low image lag and dynamic range – which matches those of CCD-based rivals, said the company’s Roland Maier.
