Telent Technology Services will provide maintenance services to Sandwell Council’s traffic signal network over the next four years. The £2m deal includes 109 traffic signal junctions, 174 pedestrian crossings and eight journey time monitoring cameras. The agreement sees the company maintain its ten-year contract of supplying maintenance services to Sandwell.

Oxfordshire County Council has chosen Telent Technology Services (Telent) to provide efficient maintenance, supply and install traffic signalling equipment as well as a range of on-street ITS equipment across the county. The five-year project aims to improve traffic flows and reduce congestion, journey times and pollution levels. Telent met with the Council on 9 February to discuss rapid mobilisation of the contract. Telent Technology Services will supply Stoke-on-Trent City Council with a range of traffic signal and associated ITS equipment over a four-year period. The systems will be deployed with the intention of improving the monitoring and controlling of road usage to help keep road users safe.

Highways England (HE) has awarded the second National Roads Telecommunications Service (NRTS) contract, valued £450m ($602m), to Telent Technology Services. The project aims to keep road users as safe and informed as possible on the UK's motorways and will run for seven years from March 2018. In addition, this technology will also continue to support the smart motorway and expressway programmes.
