Chancellor of the Exchequer Philip Hammond has announced a £400m ($532m) charging infrastructure fund for electric vehicles (EVs), an extra £100m ($133m) investment in Plug-In-Car Grant, and a £40m ($53m) in charging R&D in the UK’s Autumn Budget 2017. Norfolk County Council has awarded a five year, US$770,000 contract to highways asset management software provider Yotta. The deal includes Internet hosted versions of Mayrise highways and street works software, as well as Yotta’s visualised asset management platform, Horizons. Infrastructure software provider Yotta is partnering with infrastructure services company FM Conway to deliver a US$50.4 million per annum highway maintenance contract for Westminster City Council in London. WSP is a third partner on the project, supplying design services.

Following its recent implementation of Yotta’s visualised asset management software Horizons, Telford and Wrekin Council has also invested in the company’s Mayrise Street Works software. The hosted software will be used to monitor the street works register, coordinate works on the highway and issue fixed penalty notices.
