The ISR is an intelligent speed hump. It detects vehicles that are respecting the speed limit and automatically lowers into the ground. However, the device stays raised for vehicles travelling over the designated speed limit.
The aim of the ISR is not just to prevent accidents. It helps to promote road education, contributes to respecting speed limits with the aim of preventing accidents and raising awareness among drivers.
The system is also flexible. For instance, if deployed in a school zone, it can be set to keep the device elevated during school arrival and departure times. The rest of the day and during weekends and holidays, the intelligent speed reducer will work normally, providing security and mobility.
For cross walks, a pedestrian button module allows the device to be kept elevated long enough to cross the road, offering more safety, even when vehicles circulate within the permitted speed limit.
The intelligent speed reducer performs an effective safety and educational function. The system can generate traffic and road education statistics, according to vehicle flow, differentiating those who do respect the limit established in the area and those who do not. It can generate reports for periods of time such as specific days and hours and it can transmit that data to a traffic management centre or other facility.
The ISR can make a significant impact when deployed at strategic locations such as schools, parks, hospitals, public and private streets, residences, industrial parks, commercial premises, and airports.
