Houston Radar is showcasing its Doppler and Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave (FMCW) radars at the ITS America Conference & Expo this week. According to the company, the radars can be connected to the cloud via Bluetooth and 3G wireless access—providing easy data collection, reporting and device management.
Featuring six different speed and presence detection radars, the company’s units are used for speed awareness, Vehicle Activated Traffic Calming Signs (VATCS), traffic counters, vehicle flow detectors, speed triggered stop signs and chevrons. The sensors can be integrated directly into other ITS systems or deployed as standalone traffic data collectors.
