Cohda Wireless CEO Paul Gray said that the solution offers unprecedented reliability, flexibility and interoperability and has the potential to increase the size and scope of smart city trials globally.
“Cohda’s V2X stack and applications are already the most widely deployed in the industry and the solution we will be announcing is our most advanced device to date. We know it is going to play a major role in the introduction of connected vehicles in smart cities all over the world,” explained Gray.
“City transport authorities and vehicle manufacturers are looking for hardware and software that they can implement with confidence in what are exciting, but uncertain, times in road transport.”
In developing its new platform, Cohda applied its experience and involvement in some of the world’s most prolific trials and deployments, including the 3000+ vehicle New York Connected Vehicle Project as well as Australia’s largest connected vehicle pilot, the Ipswich Connected Vehicle Project. “To use an Australian cricketing analogy, we expect this product will hit the market for six and we can’t wait to present the culmination of what has been several years of work for our research and development team,” added Gray.
