Q-Free highlights new tech and 40th anniversary

As the first company to deploy a multi-lane free flow (MLFF) tolling system in 1984, Q-Free has continually met the challenges and needs of traffic agencies and concessionaires around the world, developing advanced traffi c management systems, licence plate recognition technology, and tolling networks that have reduced congestion, improved safety, and enhanced the driving experience.

But they’re not done. At the congress, Q-Free will spotlight its Multi-Lane Free-Flow solution, Weigh-In-Motion technology, Kinetic Mobility ATMS platform, and Intrada Insight. Intrada Insight is an AI-driven, end-to-end video toll management system that transforms video captures into reliable vehicle identifi cation data for accurate toll billing. Leveraging advanced machine learning and a human-machine feedback loop, Intrada Insight automates above 90% of tolling transactions, reducing operational costs, and improving billing accuracy.

Q-Free will also demonstrate some exciting new innovations: one currently being rolled out and an exciting pilot program related to their next-generation road user charging offering. “We are excited to share our progress,” says CEO Mark Talbot who recommends everyone come by the Q-Free stand. “At Q-Free, we are always looking ahead. We know forty years in any industry is impressive, but preparing for the future before the it gets here is remarkable.”
