The EMV Transport Forum is the UK’s first industry collaboration focusing directly on aspects of implementation and market adoption of EMV transport ticketing.
With the discussion shaped by pre-submitted concerns and questions, the aim of the forum is to mobilise authorities to flush out concerns in EMV implementations across transport networks.
The membership-only Forum will meet quarterly, alternating between virtual and face-to-face meet ups, whether they have an interest as a spectator for an exploratory understanding or are in the midst of deployment, tackling the real-life issues of bank card ticketing.
Members of the EMV Transport Forum will have access to the community and exclusive content from meetings through the EMV online portal year around and in the meetings. They will also play an active role in shaping the content of the meetings.
Zehra Chudry, head of content, said “2014 has been a fantastic year for contactless and public transport, starting in London and programmes progressing around the world, and we want to keep that momentum and conversation going - what can or can’t be replicated in other regions, who should or shouldn’t be exploring this route and most importantly how do we grow on these fantastic achievements? We are really looking forward to the EMV Transit Forum acting as a year-round community for this discussion.”
