TagMaster has announced that the port of Durban DCT has selected its CombiTag Classic RFID tags that combine short range identification based on proximity technology by HID Global and long range identification technology by TagMaster, in the latest in a number of deployments made by TagMaster partner Camco Technologies at Durban Pier1 and Port Elizabeth.

Swarco in Norway has announced that Avinor, which operates 46 airports in Norway, has extended the framework agreement with Swarco for the supply and upgrade of turnkey parking solutions. The first newly developed inspection devices for e-Tickets, developed by Hoeft & Wessel, have just been delivered to the Danish State Railway (DSB). With a weight of only about 200 grams, the small and ergonomically designed device sets new benchmarks. When e-Ticketing is widely deployed, the conductor´s current mechanical validator will be replaced by electronic ones, which can identify and read RFID tags, writing (OCR) and 2D barcode.
