WTI demos Viper and Hydra

WTI (Wireless Technology Incorporated) will be providing demonstrations of its Viper H.265 camera (VS265) and Hydra 265 Transcoder. The VS265 HD camera supports H.265, H.264, MPEG4 and MJPEG compression. It supports 1080P, 720p, SD and below SD resolution if needed. The company says it is unparalleled as it has 360˚ continuous rotation on both the pan and tilt axes. It also has a hydrophilic TiO2 and electrically conductive ITO glass window. The Hydra 265 Transcoder transcodes H.264 and MPEG4 RTSP streams to H.265 thereby saving users up to 75 per cent band width.

Image Sensing systems reduces Wisconsin travel times

Image Sensing Systems will be highlighting how its RTMS Echo is part of the technology used in the Wisconsin Department of Transportation’s first flex lane on the Madison Beltline in Dane County.  The flex lane is an innovative solution to ease backups during the busiest times and provide reliability for motorists. The Echo monitors the traffic volume on the highway's mainline lanes. When traffic levels hit a certain volume threshold, a notification is sent, and the system automatically opens the median shoulder lane to allow vehicles to start using the lane.

Viva’s powerful sensors optimize transport network

Viva will be highlighting its powerful 24/7 sensor technology that equips transport decision makers with the insights they need to optimise the transport network, improve urban infrastructure, and enhance road safety. The company’s sensors provide highly accurate multimodal data to assess the impact of road safety interventions and enable data-led decision making to help prevent accidents. In addition, the sensors can monitor use cases, such as active travel patterns, footfall analysis and rat-run behaviour.

AEye’s 4Sight M Lidar focuses on what matters

AEye will be highlighting 4Sight M, a software-defined Lidar sensor that delivers high-performance, cost-effective sensing solutions optimised for a range of ITS application. These include automated tolling, automated incident detection (AID) and smart intersections. Leveraging a software-definable architecture to identify and focus on what matters most, 4Sight enables the perception system to locate and identify objects earlier, and track these objects over time, allowing for faster, more reliable perception. Early detection and more accurate, timely perception means that better decisions can be made. AEye says this is critical for signalling to a vehicle when it’s safe to proceed, or improving traffic flow through toll booths, intersections, and city streets.

Bosch detection technology mimics the human brain

Real-time safety and data aggregation solutions for ITS will be the focus at the Bosch booth. Video sensors with embedded neural network-based video analytics for ITS will detect pedestrians in a crosswalk, heavy traffic on a highway, and congestion on an interchange. The cameras will trigger real-time alerts to partner devices for V2X communications, broadcasting safety messages to onboard units in connected vehicles. In addition to these demonstrations, the cameras can also alert on slow vehicles, stopped vehicles, and vehicles travelling the wrong way.
