AGD Systems will be showcasing its range of intelligent radar detection systems at Intertraffic Amsterdam. New for 2016 is the launch of the company’s most sophisticated intelligent radar yet. The ‘350’ measures not only the speed and range of vehicles but also captures their angle from the radar.

Radar detection specialist AGD Systems is using the ITS World Congress exhibition to launch an updated version of its monopulse radar system for traffic incident management and enforcement. According to Stuart Douglas, AGD Systems’ general manager in Australia, the 350 monopulse enforcement radar allows vehicles to be tracked in two dimensions, rather than just the one direction tracked by conventional single-radar detectors.

Following a highly successful trial, AGD Systems’ new generation intelligent radar detection system, the 318, which is specifically designed for strategic applications, has now been fully deployed at the Tyne Tunnel for wrong way detection.
