Last year, Emovis successfully delivered UK’s first pay-by-plate tolling system on the Mersey Tunnel. Not only does this solution greatly improve the customer journey experience by automating the toll plaza crossing, but it also lowers the road operator’s operating costs by eliminating the need to invest in tag-based roadside equipment. The rapid take-up rate after just few months of operation demonstrates how convenient and popular this cashless option has become for motorists.

Earlier this year, Emovis signed its 4th road user charging (RUC) contract in the US with Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles to implement the Mileage-Based User Fee programme. Emovis’ programme is playing an important role in compensating for the loss of revenue from the increase in fuel efficient vehicles on the road and is an equitable way to ensure all vehicle owners pay their fair share of tax

Climate change is also transforming the approach to road mobility. To that end, Emovis has engineered an innovative low emission zone solution – currently in test in France – to induce drivers to change their driving habits and switch to a cleaner mode of transport.

Emovis says it is looking forward to taking part in the global conversation on how to transition to a safer, cleaner and smarter road mobility. Visitors to Intertraffic can meet the company at The French Pavillon.
