Visitors to the PTV Group booth will discover how next-generation traffic management helps to improve traffic flow and capacity, and thus increase road safety, air quality and sustainability in cities.

Future-orientated cities like Taichung, Vienna and Rome already rely on PTV’s real-time solution which combines innovative machine learning techniques with proven dynamic traffic modelling. Thanks to this combination, PTV Optima enables operators to manage the entire traffic network and make reliable traffic forecasts up to 60 minutes in advance.

Real-time traffic management will also be the topic of two dedicated PTV presentations in the summit programme from 8am to 9.30am on Wednesday. Technical session TS34 – How Technology Impacts Transportation I – will feature Chiara Cianella, manager professional services – real-time mobility, who will speak about the Quantification of the Impact of Big Events on Traffic with PTV Optima. She will be followed by Lorenzo Meschini, VP product management real-time mobility, who will present a methodology to properly handle actuated signal plans within macroscopic dynamic traffic simulation.

Additionally, visitors to the PTV stand can also expect exciting in-stand sessions every day on real-time traffic management, solutions for improved air quality together with Bosch, and the #transmove project in which PTV is developing an innovative, AI-based traffic forecasting tool for the city of Hamburg, Germany.
