Easily transported and deployed in less than 15 minutes on the side of the road, the Rekor Edge Flex eliminates the need to dig up the roadway to embed loops and other sensors – saving time and budget while minimising traffic disruptions.

Powered by artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML), the Rekor Edge Flex collects and transforms high-speed roadway data directly on the device for secure, high-quality and holistic traffic insights in real time.

A Cloud-based analytics dashboard enables faster and more accurate decision-making for transportation planning, roadway engineering and traffic management.

The system’s high-quality, high-resolution video analytics accurately classifies vehicles and collects other traffic management data – such as vehicle speed, vehicle volumes, and traffic patterns. This helps agencies identify vehicle type and tonnage, determine instances of electric vehicles and estimates greenhouse gas emissions.

According to Maria Kolar, a marketing manager for the company, the Rekor Edge Flex will be deployed over the next several months by several transportation departments across the U.S. Southeast – some of which will be installed in parallel deployments with legacy loop deployments to give the company and its early customers a chance to test accuracy.
