Professional Pavement Association’s (PPP’s) LaneAlert 2x solution has won the 2018 Most Innovative Product at The American Traffic Safety Services Association’s Annual Convention & Traffic Expo. The platform is designed with the intention of combating wrong way collisions. LaneAlert 2x, according to Greg Driskell, PPP’s president, is a polyurethane marking that can appear as a standard white or yellow line that changes to red or uses arrows when drivers are going the wrong way.

London-based mobility data experts Ito World has mapped Hyperloop Transportation Technologies’ (HTTs’) route from Cleveland to Chicago to help the company promote its technology as a solution to tackle congestion and pollution. The UK government will invest £7m ($5m) in cycling projects to improve road safety and create more bike-friendly areas that encourage more people to cycle as part of everyday journeys. Transatel will provide mobile network services for Fiat Chrysler Automobile’s (FCA’s) on-board telematics units, Mopar Connect, in the European Union region following a competitive tender.
