Under-inflated tyres are a widespread, global issue that impact road and driver safety. Indeed, across Europe alone, under-inflated tyres contribute to 9% of all fatal road accidents and 41% of serious injury road accidents, according to EU data.

Traffic police cars could get smarter – resulting in more prosecutions – thanks to a product being exhibited at Intertraffic for the first time. Israel’s RoadMetric is showing off Enforcement Deputy at Intertraffic 2016, a product it claims can change the “entire economics” of traffic enforcement.

Belgian company Flow will use Intertraffic to showcase some compelling new features on its Flowcontrol traffic management platform. The company claims it is the world’s first traffic optimisation solution where both sensor-based traffic monitoring and floating car data operate seamlessly.
