CAMI to bring urban air mobility to communities

A non-profit industry association whose founding members include SAE International and Joby Aviation has formed to help integrate urban air mobility options into transport. The Community Air Mobility Initiative (CAMI) is aiming to connect communities and industry by providing resources and education to the public and decision makers at state and local level. CAMI's co-executive director Anna Dietrich says new technologies and aircraft promise to make flight accessible on a daily basis for more people.

Volkswagen (VW) has formed an autonomy subsidiary in the German cities of Munich and Wolfsburg with the aim of developing a self-driving system (SDS). Liberty Global sets sights on sparking on-street EV charging

Liberty Global is utilising the network infrastructure of its UK subsidiary Virgin Media with the aim of improving on-street electric vehicle (EV) charging. Waymo is closing its operations in the US city of Austin following an increase in investment in the Detroit and Phoenix areas. A spokesperson told Austin Inno: “As a result, we’ve decided to relocate all Austin positions to Detroit and Phoenix. Kar-go ‘road-ready’ driverless delivery bot makes debut

A start-up has demonstrated an electric driverless delivery vehicle at the CAV Scotland show which it says reduces the last mile delivery costs by up to 90%. Renault and Waymo are hoping to establish an autonomous mobility service between Roissy-Charles de Gaulle Airport and La Défense, a business district in France’s capital Paris.
