Video data platform provider Videalert has been bought by Marston Holdings, the UK-based transportation and enforcement services group.
The announcement, made at Traffex this week, comes as Videalert extends its existing work for Bath & North East Somerset Council with more CCTV enforcement for the city of Bath’s clean air zone.

Bolt, the ride-share company which was formerly called Taxify, has launched electric kick scooters in central Madrid.
The firm piloted the vehicles in Paris last year – making it the first to combine scooter sharing and ride-hailing together in one mobile app, Bolt claims.

ChargePoint to provide EV chargers at Morrisons stores
ChargePoint Services is to install its GeniePoint Network electric vehicle (EV) chargers across all Morrisons supermarkets in the UK.
ChargePoint says its 50-100kW rapid chargers will allow customers to refuel their EV in around 20 minutes.

Cohda Wireless is to apply Vehicle to Everything (V2X) technology at an open test environment for connected and autonomous vehicle (C/AV) technologies in the centre of Berlin.
Cohda will deliver its MK5 on-board units for large-scale field trials and roadside units at the Diginet-PS site, funded by the German Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure.

Optimus to launch AV services in New York and California
Optimus Ride is to launch autonomous vehicle (AV) mobility services for residents and workers in Brooklyn, New York and Paradise Valley Estates in Fairfield, California.

MEPs have backed a funding programme which will include money for the digitalisation of transport and the development of 5G systems.
The European Union policymakers have voted to support the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) programme for 2021-2027 in a meeting between European Parliament industry and transport committees.
The provisional agreement sets the framework for continuing the CEF programme to fund transport, digital and energy projects over the seven-year period. The budgetary provisions for the
