TRL expands Transyt into France
Transport Research Laboratory (TRL) is demonstrating the latest version of its Transyt Online software at Intertraffic, and is also working with its French integrator SPIE Sud-Est, to expand Transyt Online across the cities of France.
SPIE plan to integrate Transyt Online into its Cite product and offer this extra functionality to its wide customer base and new customers. The choice of Transyt Online was a natural one following the successful use of Transyt in a project in Cannes where SPIE used Transytt
Transportation Control Systems joins McCain distributor network
McCain and Transportation Control Systems (TCS) have have joined forces to deliver first-class traffic control products in the US south-east.
The agreement enables both companies to better meet the growing demand for intelligent transportation systems by making TCS the exclusive supplier of McCain’s traffic controllers, cabinets, signs, and software in Florida and the Caribbean. Through the recent acquisition of Quality Traffic Systems, another McCain distributor, TCS will also have distribution rights
Consortium wins Peru cable car consultancy
Peru's private promotion investment agency ProInversión awarded the consultancy tender to develop the economic model for the Choquequirao cable car system concession to a consortium of Pricewaterhouse Coopers and Ingerop Conseil Ingenieri.
The cable cars will travel 5.4 kilometres from Kiuñalla in Apurímac to the Choquequirao archaeological park in Cusco, crossing the Apurímac canyon. Travel time will be 15 minutes and the system will be able to carry 400 people an hour.

Thales has been selected by metro operator CCR Metrô Bahia to provide a signalling solution for lines 1 and 2 of the new metro in Salvador, Brazil’s third largest city.
Thales will deliver its world leading SelTrac communications-based train control (CBTC) signalling solution, providing fully automatic driverless operation. Lines 1 and 2 cover a combined distance of 31 kilometres and serve 19 stations.

The Tönnjes Group is displaying its latest range of licence plate and windscreen labels with an integrated RFID-chip. Vehicle-specific data in the IDePLATE and IDeSTIX can be read by a variety of fixed and mobile radio devices.
